Dr Heather Gibson grew up in Houston, Texas. She moved to Phoenix in 2009 where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at Arizona State University. She then attended Northern Arizona University where she earned her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy in 2014.
Since graduating, Heather has focused on building her career in the outpatient physical therapy setting. She has worked with an extremely diverse patient population and has experience ranging from pediatric populations to geriatric and including post-surgical, acute and chronic spinal injuries, work related injuries, chronic neurological disorders, and sports-related injuries.
Last year, she was certified as an Ergonomic Specialist and also began her training to become a Certified Integrative Dry Needling Practitioner. Heather has a background in the fitness industry as well, and has worked as a personal trainer prior to pursuing a career in physical therapy. She believes in treating her patients with a holistic, hands on approach and works diligently to help restore and improve her patient’s overall health and wellness.
In her free time, Heather enjoys staying active outdoors. She specifically enjoys hiking, scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with her husband Jim and their dog Jazzy.
