Our Personal Training Versus Bigger Health Clubs

At Canyon Sports Fitness and Physical Therapy, we start with an Initial Fitness Evaluation to establish your current fitness level. At this initial session, we collect your medical history, take measurements such as blood pressure, heart rate, muscle strength, range of motion, muscle length, body fat analysis, and other tests. A Doctorate Prepared Physical Therapist then reviews your information and conducts an orthopedic joint screen to help identify anything that the trainer may want to be aware of (such as pain in a joint or restrictions in motion) when designing your program. The physical therapist and personal trainer then collaborate to design a SAFE, EFFECTIVE, and PROGRESSIVE program to help YOU achieve YOUR fitness goals. It is this professional team approach that ultimately delivers results. You will NOT find that ANYWHERE else!

It combines our personal training with the nutrition needed to create a long-term approach to a healthy lifestyle through complete nutritional analysis, behavior modification, and personal training to help you get in the best shape of your life! Our program does not endorse FAD diets that promote quick but ultimately temporary weight loss. Instead, we focus on helping our clients utilize tips that will keep you fuller longer and result in lasting results which retain an ideal body weight for your age, sex and height. Obesity is a risk factor for many chronic diseases such as diabetes (type 2), hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
