Scott Gilbert, D.P.T, CSCS The founder and owner of Canyon Sports, Fitness, and Physical Therapy. Dr. Gilbert has earned a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa Arizona and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. In addition, he has completed the Phoenix Long-Term Manual Therapy Course through Phoenix Manual Therapy. He specializes in orthopedic, sports, TMJ, and vestibular physical therapy.
Jennifer Lam D.P.T. Dr. Lam has earned a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis. She has completed the Phoenix Long-Term Manual Therapy Course through Phoenix Manual Therapy. She specializes in orthopedic, sports, and pediatric physical therapy.
Janene Alcantar D.P.T. Dr. Alcantar has earned a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University. She specializes in orthopedic and sports physical therapy.
Jefferson McNeil, P.T., D.P.T., COMT Dr. McNeil has earned a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University. He has completed the Kaltenborn Evjenth Long-Term Manual Therapy Course in Montgomery, Alabama and in 2009 became a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist through the Ola Grimsby Institute in San Diego, California. He specializes in orthopedic, sports and spine physical therapy. His hobbies include distance running, fitness and cooking with an emphasis on nutrition.
Carlos Johnson, NFPT Carlos is a nationally certified personal trainer with over 15 years experience. He trains all age groups and specializes in weight loss, strength, and endurance programs.
Amy Regan, NFPT Amy studied Exercise Physiology at U Lowell, Mass and has been a certified Personal Trainer and Clinical Exercise Specialist since 1992. She is also certified in Stott Pilates, Lemond Spinning and is a Wilderness First Responder. Amy is a former professional mountain biker and uses the drive and determination that helped her set a world record in 1994, to motivate her clients and help them reach their own personal goals. Amy's clients range in ages from 12 to 92, working on cardiovascular fitness, weight loss or gain and improving strength, flexibility and balance. She makes fitness fun and stimulating, teaching her clients how to overcome both physical and mental exercise obstacles to achieve remarkable, lasting results!
Laura Tokioka, L.M.T. Laura earned her massage degree in 1978, from Bancroft School Health Services and her undergraduate from Thomas Edison State College, 1994. She is trained in therapeutic, deep tissue, polarity, neuromuscular, cranial sacral, reflexology, Swedish, lymphatic, Thai, trigger point, hot rocks and aromatherapy. She integrates meditation and breathe work to alleviate the body of its mental tensions and assist the patient in developing their own stress management techniques. She is also a trained dancer and martial artist. Laura has both taught and practiced massage in Asia and the USA.
Tiffany Gutierrez, ATC, M.A. Tiffany is a licensed athletic trainer. She earned her B.S. in Athletic Training from Northern Arizona University. She also has a master's degree in Education from Arizona State University. Tiffany develops and implements our sports enhancement programs for all age groups.
Dawn Romanini, B.A., MA Ed, A.C.E. Dawn Romanini was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a three time State Champion in Gymnastics, which entitled her to a full ride Women's Collegiate Scholarship for Arizona State University Gymanstic's Team, 1976-1980. She became an ALL-AMERICAN GYMNAST and was rated 13th in the nation. Dawn graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and a Master's degree in Education in 1993. Dawn's knowledge and expertise in gymnastics, dance, and physical education has brought her to her current position of Dance/P.E. teacher for the Glendale Unified School District. Dawn is also in an A.C.E. certified aerobic instructor and a certified Pilates instructor through Core Dymanics and Moving Breath Pilates Studios.
Ade McCray, BFA, Stott Pilates Instructor Ade has been working in the dance and health fitness industry for nearly 15 years. He has his BFA in Dance from the University Of The Arts in Phil, PA. Ade recieved his Stott Pilates education from Troon Mountain Health and Fitness, Scottsdale, AZ. Ade enjoys seeing the benefits and results clients achieve by encouraging them to train in all diciplines of fitness including pilates, dance, strength training and cardiovascular exercise.
Juliet Zuercher, RD Juliet is a registered dietician with over 12 years experience at the nation's leading intensive inpatient eating treatment center, Remuda Ranch. Juliet specializes in the areas of: chronic dieting, emotional eating, binge eating and disordered eating. Her philosophy offers freedom from obsessions around food, eating and body image. Juliet does not endorse fads or gimmicks. Nutrition therapy fosters lifestyle change not a quick fix or shortcut to health.
